Treating back pain right from your own home is often just as effective as taking medications.

Back pain is often caused by the muscles in the region that is hurting, so you have to target them. The easiest ways to treat back muscles is to apply heat and ice compressions. A hot water bottle, hot bath or electric blanket are all great heat sources and will greatly help. An ice pack can be applied to the pain and that relieves tension also. If the back pain is chronic, which means it keeps occurring, and then you can also exercise on a daily basis. The exercises are simple and target the back area to keep it flexible and strengthen it.

Another way you can treat back pain at home is to have a massage done. You have two options on how to get the massage done. You can hire someone to make a home visit or find a relative or friend that will do it for you. This is very easy to have done and it does wonders in relieving you of your back pain. If the pain is bad, you can also try to keep still and rest some in bed. If you place a pillow in between your legs it will keep you from making any sudden moves that can cause even more pain.
